Foster Tree | Compass Church

We can change Christmas for kids in need!

This Christmas you are invited to join us by taking part in the Foster Tree – our annual tradition of purchasing gifts for local children in the foster care system. Compass Church partners with DCFS, The Center for Youth and Family Services, and Children’s Home + Aid each Christmas to bless children who are facing rough circumstances and can often feel forgotten this time of year.

We have a record 136 children to surprise and delight this year, so we need your help. The Foster Trees in the lobby at Compass Church are covered in tags with Christmas wishes. Some wishes are basic needs and others are dream wishes, but each gift request is an opportunity to tangibly show love to a child who may never feel valued or special. All you have to do is grab a tag or two, purchase the requested gifts, wrap them, and attach the tag to the outside. Gifts are being collected during our services at Normal Community High School on Sunday, December 17th at Normal Community High School at 10:00am.

Not part of Compass but still want to give a kid an awesome Christmas?

You don’t have to be part of Compass Church to take part in the Foster Tree…all you have to do is want to make a difference in the life of a child in need. Click the link below to get info on available gift wishes and more info on how you can help:
